Lisa qualified as a specialist orthodontist in 2005, and since then has had experience working in various specialist NHS orthodontic practices and private dental practices in the North Somerset and Gloucestershire region. Alongside this, she worked as a clinical tutor at the Bristol Dental Hospital teaching the postgraduate orthodontic registrars for ten years.
Although Lisa enjoys all aspects of orthodontics, she has developed a specialist interest in interceptive orthodontics and in doing so, identifying and addressing potential orthodontic issues early in children. Lisa also enjoys carrying out orthodontic treatment in adult patients, using more cosmetic orthodontic appliance systems, recognising how dentistry and orthodontics is rapidly changing over the years.
Lisa joined Bank Cottage in 2018, and has been delighted with the welcoming patients whom she enjoys treating.
Outside of work, when not busy looking after her two sons, she is dedicated to training in her martial arts and keeping fit. Previously a black belt in TaeKwonDo, she now trains in Lau Gar Kung Fu, passed her brown sash, and picked up some trophies over the years. Another pastime is her love of art, dance and travel. She enjoys creating art, using whatever medium is to hand… as well as contemporary dance and discovering different cultures & scenery along her travels!
As a person with a fear of dentists who had not visited one in 8 years I can honestly say Dentist Tim Lindop and Nurse Lisa made me feel at ease. They were friendly and professional and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Tim took the time to thoroughly explain to me what he was going to do before beginning which took a lot of my anxiety away. After explaining my concerns Tim was very patient and understanding and the injections I received were very gentle. Excellent dental practice with exceptional staff, I won't be going anywhere else in future.
